The day after the fall winter storm: blue skies, white snow, deep green evergreens, a token leafless tree, quiet road, and a bright fire hydrant waiting for a wandering dog.
I love reds and yellows and blues and purples and so ons. . . but I do not love fall leaves for the most part, especially in mass; I am grateful for all the evergreens in our neighborhood and for snow.
