Contrast
Cattle prods are in this year
and daffodil snowfall drifts
onto deep green grass,
creation replayed.
Gentle hugs are in this year
and sand spurs hide in tall grasses
to tear into those that dare
to trample creation in progress.

Morning Marcia. For some reason, I really like this. Not just because you wrote it, but the contrast is so sharp. I think the cattle prod line is very funny, this wouldn't have anything to do with exercise? Thanks for your comment, I posted my PT this morning.

Wonderful contrasts. Sand spurs...uggh. We had "goat head" stickers that were awful. We didn't dare trample creation barefoot.
This was unplanned huh? Well it read wonderfully. "to tear into those that dare" could mean so many things although I understand it in this poem. Wonderful piece of work.
I love "contrast" .. you did good - as always :)
Thank you all for commenting today.
Rose, Cattle prod is not connected to anything - except my mind.
Shelly, I still remember the sharp pain of mean old sand spurs.
Chris, yep, I said, "write," and this fell out, though, the cattle prod line I spout out all the time.
Shelby, contrast makes life interesting, me thinks.
Have a great day.
Marcia,
The cattle prod definitely gave me some ideas.
I will take the Thursday 13 link from your blog and try it out this Thursday,,just see how it goes.
Marcia,
When I tried to copy the code for Thursday 13, I got the whole long blogroll on my sidebar. It's way too much!
What should I be doing? Can you help?
Matty, I hope it works. As for the cattle prod, I can't wait to see what you do with your thoughts. I hope TT works for you.
