Life, An Interesting Mix

Life sucks in
and breathes out
in rhythm with
our expectations,
some tell us

while others
speak of preplanned
destiny
and
little control.

Could it be that
the destiny was only
to whom we were born?
life, merely, our expectations?

Upon those building blocks,
either luck, that we figured that out
and expected more
or self- preservation,
that we wanted more?

And added to that the little
we have beyond our control:
the actions of others?

Life, an interesting mix
designed to make poets
and thinkers
out of us,
all.
